Accelerated basic qualification according to the Professional Driver Qualification Act (BKrFQG)
The accelerated basic qualification is an additional training that every driver working in commercial
Freight or passenger traffic, must acquire. This new regulation applies to bus drivers since September 10, 2008 and to all truck drivers since September 10, 2009.
Anyone wishing to acquire a truck or bus driver's license from this deadline (driver's license of classes C1, C1E, C / CE or D / DE) must also prove that they have acquired the "accelerated basic qualification" using so-called key number 95 in their driver's license.
You will receive the "key number 95", and thus the authorization to drive commercial goods or passengers, by successfully participating in the accelerated basic qualification. This training comprises a total of 140 teaching units of theoretical and practical training. Participation is completed by a written exam in front of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. With this training there is no possibility to take the exam in a foreign language.
After receiving the certificate (IHK), submit it to the driver's license office. There you will then see the "code number 95" in your driving license.
